Like so many others I have struggled with weight gain and unhealthy lifestyle habits, I was a busy stay- at home mom raising two children and had a husband with a very busy career and long hours. When my son was about 7 months old I decided it was time for a change and this time I would change for good!
I was able to loose about 45 lbs almost 10 dress sizes (believe it or not). I was pushing toward a size 14. I did it all on my own in less than a year. My health improved, my cholesterol, bladder infections and headaches are gone forever. Health became my motivator. I wanted, and still do care very much about disease prevention. Exercise and diet became my way of life... each month I got little better, something changed. I added new and improved foods to my diet as I eliminated the bad. I found substations for things I couldn't live without at that time. I took my family along for the ride- I slowly integrated things so nobody (hubby) would have heart failure. Now creating a career for myself.
I have since been able to turn it around I move forward and never look back- Health and Fitness has been my passion! Now I want to help others create a lifestyle with better health, feeling fit and achieving a great life... and benefiting the whole family along the way!
I am a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and became a Certified Holistic Health Coach. I am part of the American Association of Drugless Practitioner’s. I am also a certified AFAA Fitness Instructor- and have been teaching group /private fitness for more than 3 years. I especially enjoy working one on one with clients and now HealthyFitGirl.com - Encouraging others to become Healthy Fit Girls!
